Description: This package includes...

  2. Setup (This includes pointing your domain name to the correct server and setting correct parameters)
  3. No MB Storage Restrictions
  4. No Bandwidth / Monthly Traffic Restrictions
  5. No Email Account / Mailbox Restrictions
  6. No MySQL Database Restrictions
  7. Web email account (To check your email online anywhere in the world)
  8. Website Statistics Page (Telling you how much traffic you website receives, and what are the most popular pages plus more)

Good Points

  • No MB or Traffic restrictions
  • Inexpensive for what you get
  • Can setup individual client FTP access

Bad Points

  • No client Hosting Admin / Control Panel
  • Servers can sometimes suffer form overloading causing site/s & email to go offline
  • You must contact D.P. Web Design to create or cancel email accounts
  • Client can't setup & cancel their own email accounts
  • Server can sometimes be slow + they are overseas so the ping time is going to be slower for anyone in Australia viewing your site
  • Server clock is 17hours behind, this can cause odd timestamp's when using web mail
  • A hosting company will usually run backups & other internal functions at midnight (their time) adding to the server load, midnight there is peak time here.

  • Hosting is only available when D.P. Web Design develops your site, it is not a individual sale item.  
  • All prices include GST and invoiced yearly from the date development begins.

Please note that D.P. Web Design is NOT a hosting company. If your site has been developed by D.P. Web Design and your company does not supply hosting, then D.P. Web Design uses DreamHost (www.dreamhost.com) to host their client’s sites.

D.P. Web Design does not own or maintain any hosting servers. If at any time your website is offline then 95% of the time it is a result of the hosting company.

You are more than welcome & to call D.P. Web Design if your site is offline to get an update on the problem or to check if it can be solved. More than often D.P. Web Design can only translate information relayed from the hosting company.

If you are not happy with using DreamHost for your site hosting then you are more than welcome to purchase your own server hosting with a company of your choosing, please make sure the company you choose has the following basic requirements:

  • FTP  Users Access
  • E-Mail Accounts (POP/IMAP/Webmail)
