Description
Townsville Museum and Historical Society preserves and shares the history of Townsville and the surrounding North Queensland region. Managed by members and volunteers, the museum maintains an extensive collection of artefacts, photographs, documents and historic building plans, alongside exhibitions exploring the people, industries, places and everyday experiences that shaped the city. It also provides research resources, school and group visits, locally focused publications and opportunities for the community to engage with Townsville’s heritage.
