Site Health & Performance
Website Health & Performance Care
Your website stays working for you—not just looking nice with our monthly health checks, performance tune-ups and ongoing optimisation for sites we built (or manage)
Your website is an active asset. Our Website Health & Performance Care keeps it evolving—delivering the best experience to every visitor and helping your online presence grow alongside your goals.
What This Service Is (and Why It Matters)
This isn’t about core updates or security patches—that’s still covered by your Hosting, Security & Maintenance package. Instead, our Website Health & Performance Care Plans focus on:
-
UX (User Experience) & Site Flow
Using 20 years of web design experience
Leveraging 20 years’ web-design expertise, we audit how real visitors navigate your site, find information and interact with your content. Web standards and user expectations shift rapidly; this service ensures your site stays current, intuitive and visually on-trend.
-
SEO Refinement & Enhancements
Unmeasured
We also implement essential on-page SEO improvements. While SEO companies often provide insights and analytics, they typically leave the actual implementation to your developer (us). We take a proactive approach—making those improvements directly, so your site stays optimised without you having to manage the back and forth.

-
Choose a Support Package
Select a support package that suits your needs—3, 5, 10 or 40 hours. From your total hours, you can set your Monthly Allocation for site audits and tweaks.
-
Set Your Monthly Allocation
Choose a plan, deciding how many hours you’d like to reserve each month for proactive site improvements. We’ll work with you to identify the ideal amount based on your site’s needs, and you can adjust from there.
-
Site Assessment & Action
At the chosen point each month, we’ll perform an audit of your site’s user flow, performance metrics and on-page SEO. We then apply any tweaks or enhancements within your allocated hours.
-
Approval for Major Changes
If a proposed change involves significant content edits or page-restructuring, we’ll send you a brief summary and request approval before proceeding.
-
Detailed Work Log & Insights
Once work is complete, you’ll receive a concise work log detailing:
- What was changed
- Why it was done
- How it improves user experience, performance or search visibility
With this simple five-step process, Website Health & Performance Care gives you predictable support, transparent approvals and clear reporting—so your site stays optimised without any guesswork.
Why Continuous Front‑End Care Matters
When we built your site, we applied the very latest design, navigation and performance techniques available at that time. But in digital, “latest” is a moving target:
-
New UX patterns emerge every few months.
-
SEO best practices evolve as search engines refine their algorithms.
-
Business goals and user needs shift as your company grows.
What’s Included
Your Website Health & Performance Care Plan works hand-in-hand with your existing Support Package — but they serve two different purposes. Your Support Package is your pool of hours that you can use any time to request updates, add new content, or make design and functionality changes to your website.
Your Website Health & Performance Care Plan simply sets aside a small portion of those hours each month for proactive maintenance. This covers things like regular site audits, speed and SEO checks, mobile testing, and minor improvements that keep your website performing at its best — without you needing to request them.
If your support hours run low and there aren’t enough remaining to cover your monthly Care Plan allocation, the plan will be paused until your package is topped up. You’ll have the option to upgrade your existing package or purchase a new one to keep your care plan running smoothly.
For any major content or structural changes that go beyond your monthly allocation, we’ll always provide a quick time estimate for approval before starting.

FAQs
-
Why weren’t these optimisations included in my initial website build?
Some of these tasks—like basic on-page SEO, responsive design and performance tuning—are part of our standard build process. However, every website project is scoped to a fixed number of build hours. Including every possible audit, test and fine-tune in that initial block would significantly increase the cost of your “day-one” website.
When you launch, the priority is getting your brand and core content live efficiently. Once your site is active, you gain valuable data on how visitors behave, which keywords drive traffic and how you stack up against competitors. That’s when the deeper audits and ongoing tweaks really pay off. Our UX & Performance Optimisation Care lets you invest in those insights over time—when they deliver the greatest return—rather than front-loading all work into the build phase.
-
How do you track and report my hours?
We log every minute of work against your package. After each session you receive a concise work log showing time spent per task, so you always know exactly how many hours remain.
-
Do unused hours roll over?
Yes. Any hours you don’t use in a given month roll over into your remaining balance, so you never lose time you’ve paid for.
-
Can I change my package size mid-term?
Absolutely. If you find you need more (or fewer) hours, just let us know. We can upgrade or downgrade your package, pro-rating the change to your billing cycle.
-
What counts as a “major change” requiring approval?
Major changes include substantial content rewrites, page‐template overhauls or new functionality. Anything that could materially alter layout, branding or user journeys will be flagged for your sign-off.
-
How fast will you respond to my requests?
Every request is read immediately and triaged by priority:
- Critical (e.g. site-down errors, broken forms): Work begins within 24 hours.
- High-priority (e.g. major UX blockers, performance regressions): Completed within 48 hours.
- Standard improvements (e.g. minor tweaks, optimisations): Delivered within one week.
When you submit a request, we’ll confirm receipt, share its priority level and let you know the expected completion timeframe.
-
Can I use my hours for one-off projects outside regular audits?
Absolutely. Whether it’s a quick landing-page snippet, a CSS tweak or a small custom feature, any task you need is covered under UX & Performance Optimisation Care—it simply draws from your overall package hours. This gives you the flexibility to handle one-off requests alongside your routine site audits.
-
What happens when I exhaust my package hours?
UX & Performance Optimisation Care simply draws hours from your chosen support package. For example, if you have a 10-hour package and allocate 1 hour per month, that would normally cover 10 months of UX care. If you request a set of changes that takes 5 hours up front, you’ll then have 5 months of 1 hour per month remaining.
- Adjust as you go: You can top up extra hours at your package rate whenever you need more time.
- No surprises: We’ll alert you as you approach zero remaining hours.
This flexibility ensures you only pay for the work you need—and can spread your UX care across as many months as suits your budget and schedule.

What does “Unmeasured” mean under SEO Enhancements?
“Unmeasured” means we implement on-page SEO tweaks based on industry-proven best practices—meta tags, heading structure, image alt text, internal linking—rather than setting up and subscribing to costly third-party analytics platforms. Deep, ongoing measurement (keyword tracking, rank reports, backlink auditing) typically requires specialised software licences, which would significantly raise the price of this service.
If you require detailed rank tracking or backlink reports, we can refer you to a dedicated SEO specialist. We’ll then collaborate with them to implement the recommendations from their reports as part of your UX & Performance Optimisation Care.
